For how many parking spaces is the GREENPORT HOME PV carport designed?
We offer our HOME system for 1 or 2 parking spaces. Certified glass/glass PV modules (suitable and approved for overhead mounting – DIBt -certification) are used for the roof.
What materials are used to make the GREENPORT HOME solar carports?
We use high-quality steel, delivered galvanised and painted (anthracite grey, RAL 7016), to make the PV carports so that you can enjoy a smart and elegant covered parking space for your car for a very long time.
How is the carport with a solar roof installed? Do I need foundations?
The type of foundations required depends very much on the installation site and the soil properties there. Please contact a local specialised company which will also help with dimensioning and laying the foundations, or with installing the solar carport.
What kind of snow and wind loads is the PV carport built to withstand?
The single carports are designed and structurally approved to withstand snow loads of up to 2 kN/m² (200 kg/m²). The double carports are available for snow loads of either 1 kN/m² (100 kg/m²) or 2 kN/m² (200 kg/m²). The choice of load-bearing capacity depends on the snow loads to be complied with at the installation site in question. The maximum wind load is 112 km/h. You can obtain the required information from your local building authorities.
What vertical clearance and passage width do the solar carports have?
The 1-place version of our HOME series has a passage width von 3,50 meters and the 2-place version, 5,80 meters. At 2,10 meters, the maximum vertical clearance is identical on all models.
Can the dimensions of the HOME series photovoltaic carports also be customised?
We supply the carports in the dimensions specified (see data sheets in the download area) so it is not possible to customise them as they come with an approved static calculation for the dimensions offered.
Is it possible to connect several HOME series PV carports together?
Of course, it’s possible to build several GREENPORT HOME series solar carports next to each other. If you require several parking spaces, we recommend taking a look at our EASY carport system.
Is the solar roof carport rainproof?
Yes, the roof with glass/glass PV modules is designed to withstand rain.
Do I need to obtain a building permit for the solar carport?
Yes, as the purchaser and installer, you are responsible for obtaining the required permits (e.g. local authorities, grid operator, etc.). Please note that you will be required to bear any necessary costs and fees incurred.
Do I need an electrician to connect up the solar carport?
Without exception, all electrical connections must be carried out by authorised specialised companies. (For your own safety, please always observe all the directions in the assembly instructions.)

What is included in the scope of delivery?
The scope of delivery of the GREENPORT HOME glass/glass solar carport for 1 or 2 parking places includes the substructure made of high-quality steel, galvanised and painted on both sides in RAL 7016 (anthracite grey), the DIBt-certified, frameless, double glass modules (9 units for 1 parking space or 15 units for the double carport), including fastening materials for the carport construction. Cables for the PV module are not included in the scope of delivery.
Which optional accessories do you supply?
Optional accessories for the GREENPORT HOME PV carport include a matching light system and a roof gutter, which our sales partners will be delighted to supply you with. You can also find out from our partners about inverters or matching charging stations for your vehicle (BEV, hybrid).
Can I also connect the system to my home’s electricity supply?
Yes, of course. The solar carport can be connected to your home’s electricity supply. Your trusted electrician will be happy to advise you about this.
What guarantees exist for the solar carport?
The warranty conditions for the PV modules are based on the manufacturer’s specifications. We offer a 25-year guarantee on the substructure of the solar carport against rusting through.

We procure all our substructure parts from manufacturers in Europe, thereby avoiding excessive transport routes and reducing unnecessary CO2 emissions. With the GREENPORT HOME solar carport, you get a product which is “Made in Europe” – with an Austrian concept and design.

We make sure that the photovoltaic carport is adapted to any slopes and uneven surfaces and that, once completed, a high-quality, stylish and clean PV carport solution will enhance your car park and your property – while at the same time, also producing electricity for you and reducing your costs.
Your customers and employees can park their cars there all year round, fully open all car doors, and get in and out of their vehicles without hindrance. How much does a GREEPORT EASY solar carport cost?
The EASY system is tailored to your requirements. With a solar carport project, the price does not just depend on the size but also on different factors such as the equipment, the need for additional services (e.g. building permit application, assembly, electrical installation works, etc.), the ground conditions, etc. After consulting you (installation site, scope of performance, equipment, etc.), we draw up an initial estimative offer for your solar carport project, free of charge.
How is this smart solar parking place roofing built?
The GREENPORT EASY solar carport is built by us in cooperation with an assembly partner.
Do I need concrete foundations?
No. One of the things that is so special about the EASY system is that the PV carport can be installed with the aid of screw anchors. This saves time and money as laying concrete foundations is more expensive and takes longer. Of course, if required, the system can also be built on concrete foundations, for example if the entire ground covering at the installation site is also being renovated while redesigning the car park, or the existing substructure is not suitable for assembling the carport with screw anchors.
For what kind of snow and wind loads is the car park roof suitable?
EASY solar carports are designed and structurally approved to withstand snow loads of up to 2.4 kN/m² (240 kg/m²). Our planning specialists precisely analyse the potential snow and wind loads at the installation site and take them into account in the planning phase.
What is the vertical clearance of the GREENPORT EASY PV carport?
The basic version of the EASY PV carport is designed with a height of 3 meters (roof pitch with 8° inclination). The height of the columns can be increased by up to 0.5 metres if required. The maximum vertical clearance is standard 2,10 meters.
How wide are the parking spaces?
The width of the parking spaces can be individually adapted to your requirements to anything between 2.50 metres (standard specification) and 2,62 meters.
Which PV modules are used?
Our GREENPORT WING is used as the cover on the EASY glass/glass variant. We prefabricate this module support (for more information, see our website, Products – WING) at the factory, and equip it with modules so that the roof can be mounted on your solar carport with as little time and effort as possible. The WING is equipped with modules which are approved and certified for overhead mounting (DIBt certification, no falling glass shards if the glass breaks). And it goes without saying that this roof is also rainproof.
Standard modules are used on the EASY Trapezoidal variant (trapezoidal sheet metal roof). (See data sheet in the download area of the EASY carport system.) If required, any other module with the same dimensions can also be used and attached to the trapezoidal sheet metal roof with suitable fastening systems.
What is the PV output on the roof of the solar carport?
The rated output on the glass/glass variant is approx. 2,7 kWp per parking space, in theory, all PV modules with standard sizes can be used on the trapezoidal variant. On the modules that we use with an output of 440 Wp per module, a PV rated output of approx. 2,9 kWp per parking space can be expected.
Do I have to get a building permit for the GREENPORT EASY PV carport?
Yes – as the purchaser and builder, you are responsible for obtaining the required authorisations from the competent authorities. If required, we will be delighted to help you, and will provide you with advice during a personal meeting.
Do I need an electrician to connect up the solar carport?
As an optional extra, GREENPORT can carry out the electrical installation up to the inverter at the DC end. For installations on the AC-side, please contact your regional partner or your trusted electrical company.
What is included in the GREENPORT scope of delivery?
We will discuss the required scope of delivery with you and take it into account already in a first non-binding estimative offer (size of the PV carport, number of parking spaces, type or roof, installation, drainage, lighting, building permit application, etc.).

Do I need foundations?
Yes. The DESIGN system projects outwards and must be able to withstand very heavy loads (wind loads, snow loads – depending on the installation site). Therefore, concrete foundations are required for this system. We offer a prefabricated attachment block for the concrete foundations, in which the mounting points for the substructure have already been taken into account, enabling the PV carport to be installed extremely quickly.

The DESIGN PV carports are designed and structurally approved to withstand snow loads of up to 2.6 kN/m² (200 kg/m²). Higher loads are also possible on request. Our planning specialists precisely analyse the potential snow and wind loads at the installation site and take them into account during the planning phase.
What is the vertical clearance of the GREENPORT DESIGN system?
On the basic variant, the DESIGN PV carport is planned with a height of approx. 4 meters, the roof pitch is 8°. As standard, the max. vertical clearance is 2,60 meters.
How wide are the parking spaces?
The width of the parking spaces can be individually adapted to anything between 2,50 metres (standard specification) and 2,65 metres.
How many parking spaces does the PV carport have?
The GREENPORT DESIGN system is designed so that 2 – 4 parking spaces with a max. width of 2,85 Meter per parking space or up to a total length of 42 meters per CP row can be built.
Which modules are used for the roofing?
With the DESIGN solar carport, DIBt -certified modules are used in a prefabricated module support, made of steel. We prefabricate this module support at the factory and equip it with modules so that the roof can be mounted on the PV carport with as little time and effort as possible.
What is the PV output on the roof of the solar carport?
On the modules that we use, the rated output is 390 Wp per module. This means that a PV rated output of approx. 3,1 kWp per parking space can be expected.

The WING is a prefabricated module support on which we install the DIBt-certified modules (approved for overhead mounting) in the factory under ideal conditions (temperature, cleanliness, humidity). Thanks to the prefabricated WING, your roofing project can be implemented very quickly as the module support can be fitted and mounted on the substructure in very little time.
How and where can I mount the GREENPORT WING?
The WING can be mounted on any substructure (as a covered terrace, carport or other roofing system).
